Mission

The mission of the Alabama Winds is to foster and promote the appreciation of high-quality wind band music through performances of artistic merit for our audience, the residents of the state of Alabama and the members of the ensemble.

Who We Are

Alabama Winds, an all-adult community wind band based in Alabaster, Alabama, was organized in the summer of 2013 and is comprised primarily of practicing music educators residing throughout the state of Alabama. Members travel from as far as Huntsville, Auburn, and Enterprise to rehearsals, which are held in Birmingham, Alabama.

Scholarship

The Alabama Winds has provided scholarships for middle school and high school students to attend summer music camps and provides a one-time $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who will be pursuing a career in music education.
